
The Heart Center in the Faculty of Nursing in Arab American University organized a two-day advanced Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Course for children “PALS” for doctors and nurses from An Najah National University Hospital.
Dr. Imad Abu Khader- the Head of the American Heart Association Center in Arab American University said that this course comes as a complementary course to the agreements between the center and the medical and health governmental, local, private and community organizations. He also said that this advanced course that targeted doctors and nurses from An Najah National University Hospital is about simulated scenarios for children's emergency cases that will help in teaching a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation within team dynamics.
Dr. Abu Khader also said that the American Heart Association Center in Arab American University trains medical and health staff from the different medical and health organizations in Palestine, the governmental organizations, or the private organizations or the community organizations as well, as and the medical workers are trained in training courses that are organized from time to time on subject of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults, cardiopulmonary resuscitation for children, and basic cardiac resuscitation.
