The Department of Architecture and Design at the Faculty of Modern Sciences at the Arab American University in Ramallah has held a training course for students of the Historic Building Renovation course, specializing in Interior Architecture.
The training course, which took place in the Old City of Beit Hanina over two days, aimed to develop the students’ skills in the field of renovation by introducing them to the materials and techniques used. It included a detailed explanation and practical application on how to prepare stone walls for traditional plaster and the mechanism of their application, in addition to Preparing and dealing with the lime slab and lime mixture.
The training course was supervised by Engineer Yousef Dar Taha and Engineer Michel Salameh in cooperation with the staff of Rawaq - Center for Popular Architecture.
