The Prosthetics Factory was established in 2020, covering an area of 2,000 square meters. Built to the highest global quality standards and under the supervision of the renowned company Ottobock, the factory delivers innovative products and technologies designed to serve patients with efficiency and exceptional comfort.

In addition to manufacturing prosthetics and providing prosthetic services to the local community, the university-affiliated factory also plays a vital role in supporting education and academic development. It offers specialized programs that award bachelor's degrees in prosthetics and orthotics, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this critical field.

The factory is deeply committed to patient care, offering comprehensive solutions tailored to meet diverse needs. It is staffed by a specialized medical team that provides expert consultations and custom medical solutions for each case, ensuring optimal results and enhancing patients' quality of life.

Our factory focuses on the design and manufacturing of prosthetics to compensate for the loss of upper and lower limbs, as well as assistive devices used to treat and stabilize deformities and injuries caused by accidents, diseases, or congenital conditions. The manufacturing process follows precise stages, including diagnosis, measurement, fabrication, and rehabilitation, all under the supervision of highly skilled specialists.

The factory keeps pace with the latest technologies, such as remote diagnosis to improve accuracy, a CAD/CAM robot to expedite production, and 3D printing to reduce time and effort. Additionally, we provide a smart electronic hand to meet the needs of patients.

Prosthetics and orthotics are designed with the latest intelligent and dynamic systems tailored to the unique needs of patients. The range of orthotic devices includes custom splints and devices aimed at improving mobility and correcting deformities, as well as offering services such as orthopedic shoes, insoles, and foot braces, ensuring the overall enhancement of patients' quality of life and addressing their comprehensive needs.

Objectives of the University Factory for Prosthetics and Assistive Devices


The factory aims to provide prosthetic limbs and high-quality orthotics to meet the needs of patients and seeks to improve manufacturing processes and increase productivity to provide advanced products at reasonable prices for our struggling people. In addition to training and developing students' skills, increasing creativity, and the introduction of new and innovative technologies in the field of manufacturing prosthetics and orthotics
