The Arab American University became a member of the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) in 2000, marking a significant milestone in our pursuit of academic excellence and regional collaboration.

AARU established in 1964, is a distinguished non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting cooperation among Arab universities.

Securing AARU membership reflects our university’s commitment to rigorous academic standards and its recognized contributions to higher education. The membership process involves meeting strict criteria set by AARU, including accreditation and recognition by relevant educational authorities, followed by a comprehensive evaluation of our academic programs, research output, and institutional quality.

As an AARU member, the Arab American University enjoys unparalleled opportunities for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange with leading Arab universities. This affiliation opens doors to joint research projects, academic conferences, and student exchange programs, further enriching our educational offerings. Additionally, we gain access to shared resources, such as libraries, research facilities, and professional development programs that enhance the skills of our faculty and administrators.

This esteemed membership underscores AAUP's unwavering dedication to providing high-quality education and contributing to the advancement of higher education across the Arab world.
