I graduated with a B.S in chemistry (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of California, Irvine. After graduation, I taught chemistry and physics at Jerusalem high school. When I was an undergraduate student, I worked as a discussion leader for physical and analytical chemistry, a supplement instructor for mathematics and physics, a lab technician assistant, and an undergraduate researcher at Dr. Nien-Hui Ge's research laboratory. I received a PhD degree in physical and analytical chemistry after building a laser-desorption, jet-cooling, mass spectrometer instrument in order to explore the excited state dynamics of DNA bases using Resonance Enhanced Multi-Photon Ionization (REMPI) techniques. The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at UC Santa Barbara selected me as the 2012-2013 winner of the "Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award." I also received many fellowships; mainly, the 2016-2017 Graduate Opportunity Fellowship. Currently, I hold the chemistry department chair position at the Arab American University. I also teach a number of undergraduate courses and labs for chemistry, pharmacy, dental, and medical students.
