(Family communication shifts in virtual social Networking)

Abstract
Today, social media sites are experiencing unprecedented acceptance from different age groups in the Arab world; consequently, they are living in a technical world and a virtual society that has dominated their interests and drained their time. Further, these sites have had a remarkable impact on family life. Nonetheless, they have given humanity an opportunity to exchange communication and knowledge, eliminate obstacles of time and space, increase people's convergence and interaction, create new social relationships, and reduce efforts in business and trade. However, these networks can endanger social relations and lead to a new society that carries watershed factors with cultural traditions. They can also lead to family life’s isolation and breakdown. Hence, the user will find him/herself obsessed by his device such as computer, Smartphone, which is one of the most controversial topics among social media users and researchers, which is called in some communication research and psychology; Internet addiction, that is due to the nature of these sites’ use and content. According, in this proposal the researcher highlights the main factors associated with the use of social media sites, which have led to the dismantling of the social structure between individuals and their value relations, besides the cumulative cultural deposits, especially in Arab societies, that have been decayed and have contributed to paralyzing the Arab social and civilizational act on a large scale, besides the absence of societal origins and the maintenance of the social and family cohesion of the Arab community.
