Sulaiman Rabbaa was born in Palestine in 1966. He received the B.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan in 1989, and the M.Sc. degree in physics/ condensed matter from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan in 1991. He worked as a teacher in Jaba’ Secondary school until 1997, and then as Head of Educational Technologies in Jenin Directorate of Education from 1997 to 2002. He had a lecturer position at Arab American University-Jenin (AAUJ) in Palestine from 2002 to 2009. In 2009, he got an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for PhD programme. He was a PhD student in Electronics and Informatics (ETRO), Faculty of Engineering, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Brussels, Belgium. He graduated in 2013, and came back as an assistant professor in Department of Physics in AAUJ. His research focuses on the electronic and optoelectronic properties of semiconductors, especially GaN.
