Sustainable Development goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a strategic framework for global action and guide countries, businesses and societies towards a more just and sustainable world. These 17 goals address key challenges such as poverty, education and climate change and constitute a global commitment to transformative change. The Sustainable Development Goals contained in this statement provide the foundation that informs our initiatives and guides progress across our organization.

The Sustainable Development Goals serve as a catalyst for global partnerships by embracing the spirit of cooperation and focusing on collective efforts to address common challenges. These goals, which include social justice and environmental conservation, also empower communities to devise and implement inclusive policies. Our statement highlights collaborations, highlights our initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, and showcases the impact of collaborative work.

At Arab American University, we recognize our responsibility to move toward a sustainable future consistent with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and we are committed to ensuring that our teaching, research, community service, or university operations will help us achieve a better future.
