What will I learn

The applied chemistry student will learn how to explain the various natural and biological phenomena that occur around us. In order to do so, he will learn:

  • The periodic table, periods and groups of elements, the electronic configuration of elements of elements and its relation with chemical and physical characters. The Lewis structure of compounds.
  • The thermodynamic laws
  • The simple reactions and equilibrium laws.
  • The acidity and basicity of substances and ka, Kb Laws..
  • The method of naming organic and inorganic compounds.
  • The synthesis methods and reaction mechanisms.
  • The student will learn the applications of chemistry in medicine, engineering, biology, agriculture, drug synthesis, and others.

How will I learn

  • Theoretical lectures to understand the basics and stimulate thinking and extrapolation.

  • Practical laboratory procedures that help prove and understand chemical reactions.

  • Writing a theoretical or practical scientific research ( compound synthesis and the mechanisms) through which the student gains the necessary experience to write theses and research in postgraduate studies.

  • Computer programs required for data analysis in chemistry and the instruments used to draw the needed analysis.

Where will I study?
