Mapping the Arab Communication Scholarship: A Systematic

Over the past two decades, Communication research has earned a considerable amount of scholarly attention by Arab academicians. In spite of that, no study has measured or explored the progression and development of the Arab communication scholarship. This study, first, aims to conduct a systematic literature review to investigate the progression, method, data collection technique, theories, geospatial distribution, media genres and platforms, issues discussed, journals and first-author affiliation of Communication scholarship published in Arab communication journals by Arabic language through the last 21 years.  As well as, it provides important structural recommendations as to how the field should progress.
