In line with the university's vision to keep pace with the requirements of the modern era and technological advancement, especially in the educational sector, the university took the initiative to establish the E-Learning Center. It has prepared the necessary infrastructure and various systems to ensure the achievement of the highest possible quality. The university has made a concerted effort to integrate technology as a fundamental part of the educational process. In this regard, it has utilized e-learning in various forms that align with the nature of each specialization or course, ensuring that the intended benefits for the students are achieved.

Mission

The E-Learning Center at the Arab American University strives to enhance the quality of educational outcomes by integrating modern technology into the educational process and providing an interactive learning environment that supports blended learning and distance education. This aims to enhance learning opportunities and offer flexible and effective solutions for students and faculty members.

About the center

The university adopts a blended learning approach, integrating e-learning tools and methods into all courses to complement traditional education. The university provides an e-learning platform that includes electronic courses, offering digital educational materials, hosting interactive online sessions, evaluating students through electronic exams and assignments, and facilitating communication with students.

In some courses, the e-learning system is fully adopted, where lectures are conducted entirely online through synchronous interactive sessions. These sessions are also recorded, allowing students to access them asynchronously at any time.

The university also enables the teaching of courses using virtual reality (VR) technologies. This technology primarily involves the use of VR headsets, providing a 360-degree viewing experience that immerses the user in a virtual environment. This innovative approach is applied across various medical, educational, and training fields, equipping students with practical skills and enabling hands-on experiences tailored to their specific medical specialties. It enhances their expertise, preparing them for real-world applications of their knowledge in the future.
