Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text (meaning the intent is form, not content) and is used by the printing and publishing industries. Lorem Ipsum has been the standard for dummy text since the 15th century, when an unknown printing press randomly collected a set of letters taken from a text, to form a booklet that served as a guide or reference for these letters. Five centuries have not destroyed this text, but it has even come into use in its original form in printing and typesetting. It spread widely in the 1960s with the release of Letraset plastic sheets containing passages of this text, and has spread again more recently with the emergence of electronic publishing programs such as Aldus PageMaker, which also contain versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not random text, but rather has roots in classical Latin literature dating back to 45 BC, making it more than 2,000 years old.
