Graduation projects
Senior students showcase and present their graduation projects to a variety of special guests, employers, students from other fields, and the general public during Engineering Day, which is organized by the Faculty.
Each year, senior students have the opportunity to earn the Zuhair Hijjawi Engineering Award, with one or two out of three national awards typically going to them. They also engage in both local and national competitions.
Students' work
Throughout the Faculty student's stage of studies, students are encouraged to participate in local and international competitions such as those organized by organized by IEEE AAUP, AIAS AAUP, and any local or global company. Students also participate in photography competitions, writing, poetry, drawing, and Debates.
Faculty's students especially senior students participate in events where influential, experts, employers, ministers, and politicians are invited for talks.
Skills development
A significant portion of the curriculum focuses on university requirements and electives that contribute to student outcomes. Some courses enhance mathematics and science skills, while others foster teamwork and effective communication. English courses help students improve their reading and writing skills relevant to their fields, and arts and humanities courses enable them to apply engineering concepts in broader contexts. Additionally, training and courses are offered by organizations like IEEE AAUP, AIAS AAUP, both locally and globally.
Lectures
All courses and academic activities take place on the main campus of the AAUP in Jenin, Palestine. Classes are conducted in classrooms and laboratories during the day. The academic year is divided into two semesters, each lasting 16 weeks, with an optional summer semester available for students. Lectures occur from Sunday to Thursday, while Friday and Saturday are designated as the weekend, with no classes scheduled on those days. Courses are primarily delivered in person. Since 2019, the university has implemented a blended lecture system, combining in-person instruction with online sessions via Zoom when necessary.
