The Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University has held an opening meeting for faculty members on the occasion of the beginning of the fall semester. The meeting was held in the Faculty hall on the Ramallah campus, with the aim of enhancing communication between faculty members and providing them with basic information to start a successful semester.
Dr. Nouar Qutob, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the attendees and addressed the structural updates and future vision of the Faculty. In turn, Dr. Omar Abu Arqoub, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, reviewed the most important instructions and procedures for faculty members and procedures for evaluating academic assignments in the era of artificial intelligence.
Abu Arqoub touched on the importance of using the Moodle platform in the educational process. Moreover, Dr. Majdi Owda, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, provided a detailed explanation on how to use the platform effectively.
Dr. Sami Sader, Assistant Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality Affairs / Director of the Quality Development Department, explained how to build study plans via the electronic platform, with a practical example to enable attendees to understand the process more clearly.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Faculty of Graduate Studies’ keenness to promote a distinguished academic environment, and reflects the Faculty’s commitment to providing faculty members with all that ensures an effective and fruitful educational experience. The Faculty of Graduate Studies considers this meeting an important step towards achieving its academic goals.
