Dr. Dalal Iriqat, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University, participated as a keynote speaker in the 11th Abu Dhabi Strategic Forum. The forum was held by the Emirates Policy Center in cooperation with the UAE Diplomatic Institute with the participation of an elite group of policy makers, strategic experts, and specialized researchers from different countries around the world.

This forum was ranked among the best in the world, as the Abu Dhabi Strategic Forum brings together experts from the East and the West to discuss the regional and international scene.

During the forum, Dr. Iriqat spoke in the closing session titled: The Future of the Palestinian State, and focused in her intervention on the issue of sovereignty and the right to self-determination, and the necessity of talking about an independent state and sovereignty away from dependency, especially after diplomatic and legal developments and regional alliances. This was starting with the Emirates and its successful experience in dealing with the Trump administration and the coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the campaign to recognize the Palestinian state and the challenges it faces, especially after a year of the genocide crime.

Dr. Iriqat also stressed the importance of activating public diplomacy between the UAE and Palestine with the aim of benefiting from the UAE experience to serve the Palestinian cause.
