Our Palestinian community faces significant challenges due to a lack of awareness about certain psychological disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and hearing disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This has resulted in an increasing number of children affected by these conditions, compounded by limited basic information available to their families, which exacerbates the impact of these disorders requiring specialized care and treatment.

In response to these challenges, this project was born out of a strong commitment to promoting understanding, support, and inclusivity for individuals with these disorders and their families. We have developed a dedicated website designed to empower families by guiding them from understanding the symptoms of these disorders to connecting with experienced shadow teachers and rehabilitation centers.

This website is not just a directory providing essential contact information (such as names, phone numbers, and email addresses) for shadow teachers and rehabilitation centers. It also offers a wealth of multimedia content, including engaging visuals, educational videos, articles, inspiring stories, and interactive games. Furthermore, it provides information about libraries that offer educational tools and toys that facilitate occupational and behavioral therapy for children.

The project aims to be a unique platform that serves as the first point of connection within our local community among the three targeted groups: the families, shadow teachers, and rehabilitation centers. Additionally, the platform stands out for its use of the Arabic language, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for the target audience.

During the planning phase, we conducted a survey targeting shadow teachers and the families of affected children to identify and address their needs through the website. We also engaged with experts and professionals in the field, including Dr. Jumana Daraghmeh, the International Ambassador for Children with Autism in the Arab World under the International Organization for Cultural Development, who praised the idea and emphasized the importance of turning it into practical action in the near future.
