The cordial welcome of the dean and staff at the Faculty of Sciences goes to you!
It is indeed our privilege to welcome our outstanding students who chose to study at the Faculty of Sciences at AAUP.
In introducing you to the Faculty of Sciences, one of the foremost faculties and largest bodies at the Arab American University Palestine, it was founded in 2000 AD at the time the university was established.
The faculty consists of five academic departments; Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Applied Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology, as well as Forensic Biosciences. The primary undertaking the faculty offers is the basic science and scientific skills needed by students in a wide variety of specializations at the university. These faculties include the medical specialties of medicine, dental surgery, pharmacy, allied medical sciences, and nursing; the business specializations, as well as the information technology and engineering specialties.
On the other side, the faculty grants five B.Sc. degrees. Herein, it yearly admits 100 students on average. The soul of the faculty is the thriving aim of ‘technology transfer’, where the programs learnings outcomes tend to direct students of Sciences to the fields of application, not to undermine the strong theoretical background in the aforementioned undergraduate programs. In most of the degrees, minors in education or computer are also granted.
The network of alumni who graduated from the faculty are sparkling worldwide in their academic and industrial positions, certifying the robust background the faculty offers.
We invite you, being students, teachers, scientific researchers or community members to visit the faculty and investigate our small world that opens a glorious window to the big world via the inspiration offered by “Sciences”.

The Dean of the Faculty leads the faculty council. The Faculty Council provides the necessary guidance and takes the necessary procedures to enhance the quality of teaching and research. And decides a necessary related to the faculty members, administrative members, the Sciences programs, and their development.

Advisory Board
The Faculty of Sciences advisory board offers guidance on integrating external experiences to enhance the Faculty's image and support its leadership in improving teaching and research quality. It also reviews educational outcomes to ensure course relevance to industry needs and facilitates connections with companies for training opportunities and relationship building at both national and international levels.

Successive deans
At the Faculty of Sciences, the Dean plays a vital role in supporting the department chairs and leading the Faculty Council. As a member of the Deans' Council, the Dean reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The Dean’s responsibilities encompass overseeing the various departments, guiding faculty in their teaching, research, and service roles, ensuring alignment with the University's goals and adherence to international academic standards, governance, and quality assurance protocols. The Dean is also tasked with managing the faculty's budget and ensuring it is in line with the University's strategic development plan.
Additionally, the Dean serves as the primary point of contact for faculty recruitment and retention efforts and chairs regular Faculty Council meetings. The Dean also establishes and chairs multiple committees within the faculty to foster its ongoing growth and support its operations.
