Overview

Innovative strategies and methodologies

The Department of Chemistry was established at the beginning of the academic year 2006/2007. It is considered as one of the basic departments in Science faculty, which graduates students in the field of specialization, in addition to serving many of the university’s faculty and its specializations. The department goal is to equip students with the necessary skills and education to compete for the best in the 21st century. Also to inspire our students to be future leaders of our country toward a more prosperous and a more developed Palestine. The founders of the program are keen to establish a variety of academic relationships with other programs locally and regionally, and an effective partnership with the public and private sectors.

The program was converted from pure chemistry into applied to match all requirements for development and the necessities  for the all sectors of society, and adds various postgraduate programs that are intertwined with other scientific fields. The program also aims to provide the community with highly qualified and competitive graduates by taking advantage of the latest findings in chemistry and harnessing it to contribute to serving the Palestinian community by building a solid economy backed by knowledge. Added is the effective contribution to the labor market through its graduates, whether in the academic field (teaching, pursuing educational attainment, or research) or in the applied professional field, including the productive industrial sectors (public or private).

The department goal is to equip students with the necessary skills and education to compete for the best in the 21st century. Also to inspire our students to be future leaders of our country toward a more prosperous and a more developed Palestine.
