Overview

Based on the keenness to keep pace with scientific, technical and service developments, and the growing need of the Palestinian society for rich, diverse and constructive programs aimed at developing and meeting its needs in various scientific, literary, artistic and practical fields, the Faculty of Law at the Arab American University has adopted an unprecedented development plan to develop a distinguished academic scientific program that combines Islamic jurisprudence and law in one single specialization, which will prepare the vital field for the graduate, and provide him with new, numerous and appropriate opportunities for work, in several different fields and areas, equipped with all the scientific, technical and performance means that make him always distinguished in various fields.

Vision

The program of Feqh and Law seeks to be a pioneer in preparing a generation of specialists in the field of jurisprudence and law, capable of understanding and applying Sharia and legal principles professionally and expertly, and contributing to the development of related systems related to Sharia and legal sciences at the local and international levels.

Mission

Preparing specialized competencies in the sciences of law, both public and private, in addition to in-depth knowledge in the field of personal status with all its topics, Sharia judiciary, Sharia and regulatory advocacy, and learning about the law in a comparative manner with Islamic jurisprudence, the system of government, international relations in Islam, and financial transactions in accordance with Islamic law, such as the provisions of sale, trade, rent, and Islamic banks.

Goals

Preparing qualified personnel to undertake legislative tasks with competence and expertise, and knowledge of legal and Sharia sciences.
Qualifying personnel to participate in work in the judiciary and public prosecution, according to the requirements and needs of this sector.
Providing the legal sector with scientifically qualified personnel who are well-versed in Islamic Sharia sciences and the laws in force in the courts.
Providing state agencies and institutions with qualified personnel to undertake the work of legal departments.

Career of Graduates

Graduates of this program are expected to be qualified to work in different fields in the real estate and lands sectors such as:

Legal profession, the judiciary, public prosecution.
Legitimacy consulting and legal institutions in the public and private sector.
Criminal and administrative investigation.
Teaching in educational institutions, public and private.
Banks and Islamic banks.
Functions associated with the diplomatic and consular corps.
Prosecution in taxation and customs bodies and agencies.
Imam (preacher) at the Ministry of Islamic Awqaf and other.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students should be equipped with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and abilities to excel in their endeavors.

Employment

The ability to join all different legal jobs: such as regular and Sharia law, regular and Sharia judiciary, and various legal consultations.

scientific Research

During his studies and after graduation, the student can write legal research specializing in Islamic law and its practical applications on the ground.

practical Application

Through training in Sharia law offices and Sharia judiciary and working in them, and applying what has been learned from the principles of Islamic jurisprudence to various human cases and issues.

Higher Studies

The ability to complete postgraduate studies in the principles of Islamic jurisprudence, the jurisprudence of transactions and worship, and all aspects of Islamic law, its branches and various applications.

Social Responsibility

Spreading Islamic awareness in the local community regarding various societal issues, such as: family issues, and financial and commercial transactions.

Legislations

The student of jurisprudence and law will be qualified to formulate the Sharia and regulatory laws that he learned during his study period.
