Our Palestinian State institutions and the academic infrastructure are being actively constructed as a prerequisite of Independence. Still, a fully-fledged specialty is needed to supplement and support the classical criminal investigations. Tawjihi graduates are accepted in this program

A promising interdisciplinary bachelor program of “Criminal Biology” in a qualified infra-structure environment is offered where international standards are met in addition to original particularities to meet local Palestinian circumstances and employment. Such additions also widen the scientific and practical background of the graduates from the intended BSc program. The BSc degree of Criminal Biology at AAUP provides a solid foundation, and practical skills in both Biology and Criminalistics. Criminal Biology students will have training possibilities in the available forensic activities of Police Depts.

Demonstrate theoretical and practical competence in criminal biology discipline, and related basic and biological sciences.
Provide students with exceptional educational experience through a hands-on and practical methodologies in forensic sciences.
Prepare empowered graduates, ethical leaders, and researchers who can effectively contribute in the field of criminal justice.
Enable students to critically examine, and analyze criminal evidence from the scene.

Career of Graduates

Altogether, the graduates from the Criminal Biology BSc program will efficiently fill gaps in different Palestinian ministries (Health, Justice, Interior and Education), in addition to the higher education and research institutions as well as universities. Police Departments are expected to be a major employer for “Criminal Biology” practicing professional graduates. A part of the graduates from this program are also expected to work (as the other AAUP graduates) in the inside of the Green Line! Criminal Biology possesses a wide variety of growing working opportunities. Graduates of this program will have several career path options including:

Detective in the police force.
Forensic scientist.
Forensic Medical Examiner.
Forensic DNA Analyst.
Polygraph Examiner.
