Hassib Sabbahg Center of Excellence (HSC’s) commitment to innovation manifests itself not only through outstanding services and initiatives, but also through collaborations across organizations, sectors, and the integration of research, knowledge, learning, and technology in signature programs, services, and products. 

As we move into HSC’s next decade, we will elevate our service, research, training, and innovation missions. Specifically, we will strengthen our commitments to outstanding fundamental trainings across the society, to a transformative technologized and digitized experience for every student, community member, and stakeholder, and to engagement with communities locally and globally on pressing digital and non-digital challenges. The goal over the next five years will be to ensure that the operational objectives are strongly aligned with the vision and overall strategic objectives of the HSC.

About the center

strategies and methodologies

Hassib Sabbagh Center of Excellence (HSC) was established on the campus of the Arab American University in 2004 with a generous donation from Eng. Hassib Al-Sabbagh, in partnership with the Arab American University, ANERA, the Palestinian 

Information Systems Association (PITA), the Patient Friends Association, and the Engineers 

Union, Jenin Branch. These institutions worked to establish the center - a non-profit organization - sensing the importance of developing and improving the performance of local community units through the optimal use of technology and its tools.

Hassib Sabbagh Center is characterized by providing pioneering services related to information technology in the northern West Bank region, specifically Jenin Governorate. The center provides these services to Arab American University students, in addition to all segments of the local community in this region and other regions, and the center works to be unique and distinguished in the services provided with high quality and efficiency, noting that the center has started implementing the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system in the year 2020 It is accredited by the Arab American University, as the approved ISO system enhances the quality of the offered programs, projects and activities of the Center. 

The center is an incubator for all segments of the local community to achieve the goals they aspire to in order to keep pace with technological development and promote technology concepts within departments, institutions, and companies, in addition to bridging the gaps between the lack of knowledge among graduates and the local and global market.

Objectives of the Hassib Sabbagh Center of Excellence

Providing pioneering services to all segments of society

The service of the local community is the paramount and strategic goal of the center, and the center exerts the necessary efforts to achieve this strategic goal, as the center seeks to create a spirit of excellence and creativity in the units of the local community and to take its hand towards development. Therefore, Haseeb Al-Sabbagh Center strives to achieve the following goals:

Accelerating and embracing technological development

Accelerate the adoption and use of information technology in the service of local community groups.

Encouraging creativity and innovation through incubators and counseling units for Arab American University students and the local community.

This stems from the center’s message of the importance of developing students ’talents, embracing them and developing their ideas. Therefore, the center will encourage students with pioneering and creative ideas by participating in local and international competitions aimed at showing these ideas. The center will provide technological incubators and provide technical and technical ,magerial support for these ideas to become small startups.

Reducing the gap between donors and community units through ideas, projects and trainings implemented to graduate a generation capable of keeping pace with the labor market.

Providing modern training and learning methods

Training and developing technological skills for future leaders through modern training and updated methods.
