About Program

Overview

This program deepens and enhances students' knowledge of physical theory and field developments. It educates the students and enables them to apply the achievements of the field of physics in different sectors. This program also provides advanced educational and research opportunities for outstanding students by providing a research environment that fosters collaboration, creative thinking, and publication of results in nationally recognized journals. Regionally, by the end of the program, graduates will be able to develop the ability to collect and integrate information and ideas, which increases graduates’ employment opportunities in universities, high schools, factories, companies, and other institutions. The program has a broad education that allows for success in an area that uses experimental equipment, data acquisition/analysis as well as complex computational techniques.

50 students graduated from the program with a master’s degree, producing 40 research articles published in international Clarivate, Scopus indexed journals.

Goals

The program aims to achieve several and diverse objectives, among:

To develop the department programs to serve the university and local community.
To fulfill the requirements needs for the physics graduates in the province
To deepen and strengthen the physics knowledge among physicists
Support and develop methods of teaching physics in high schools
Open the door to ambitious high school teachers and other to pursue their graduate studies
To educate scientists who are able to apply physics in diverse sectors in industry.
To bridge the gap between pure physics and industry by developing technical applications for researching natural phenomena.
To provide advanced education and research opportunities to exceptional students by providing a research environment that fosters collaboration, creative thinking and publishing of findings in nationally recognized journals.
To develop ability to think creatively and critically and develop ability to synthesize and integrate information and ideas.
To increase the job opportunities in the universities, high schools, factories, companies and other institutions.
To reveal more accurate members for the process of Palestine development in industry, research and education.
The program has a broad education that allows success in areas where uses of experimental equipment, the acquisition/analysis of data, and the uses of computational techniques are important.
