The Faculty of Law in AAUP organized a lecture about the “Challenges Facing the Waqf Funds in Palestine” where it hosted Mr. Mahmoud Aabed – the Director of Registering and Documentation in the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs

Dr. Khair Al-Deen Talib- the Head of the Fiqeh and Law Department in AAUP opened the lecture by welcoming the guests, and asserting the importance of this lecture to understand the Waqf and public properties and how it is related to our Palestinian reality.

Mr. Mahmoud Aabed- the Director of Registering and Documentation in the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs talked about the history of the Palestinian Waqf. Mr. Aabed mentioned the challenges and difficulties that the ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs faces in the Waqf properties especially concerning lands settlement and registering properties in Tapu.
