The Arab American University and the Scholar Institute for Research and Studies in Iraq concluded the fourth international conference entitled "Modern Trends in International Relations, Media, and Social and Educational Sciences", which was organized in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkey, over two days.

The director of the conference, Dr. Muayad Abusaa, the Vice President of the Arab American University for Academic Affairs, said that more than 130 researchers in various disciplines participated in the conference, representing twenty Arab, Islamic and international countries. He indicated that the conference focused on several topics, most notably law, international relations, historical studies, Management, economics, social studies, linguistic, and literary studies.

He explained that the participating researchers discussed their research, which contributed to enriching joint scientific research among universities and specialized research centers, in addition to strengthening the bonds of communication and exchanging experiences to develop and activate scientific and academic cooperation between researchers on the one hand, and universities and research centers on the other.

The participants in the conference came out with several recommendations, most notably, stressing the need to establish a culture of responsibility in the aspect of education in various educational institutions and social activities for everyone to circulate, stressing the need to intensify training programs to increase the competencies of teachers and special education teachers, especially in the field of modern teaching methods, in addition to developing the infrastructure in the aspect of e-learning.

The participants also stressed the need to design school curricula in line with Arab and Islamic culture. They emphasized the importance of using historical documents and official records to understand the nature of international relations and the development of regional and international events. The conference participants stressed the need to move towards corporate governance to improve the relationship between investors, company managers and stakeholders, in addition to adopting the principle of transparency in the field of information between companies, and emphasizing the importance of companies adopting organizational memory as the basis for enhancing the level of marketing improvisation.

They called for encouraging the use of strict enforcement of international accounting standards, taking into account the needs of financial reports, and achieving convergence between international and local standards. An optional university course was proposed in all universities of the country that includes a progressive vision of citizenship issues. The participants called on the Arab media to shed light on the problems facing Muslims in the world, stressing the need to preserve the rights of immigrants in the Arab world and benefit from their presence to spread awareness of Arab issues. They also called for intensifying historical studies on the Arab world by establishing an integrated research Centre to link peoples with each other through the use of modern methods and strategies in Teaching English and other languages.
