Faculty of Dentistry at Arab American University participated in the Arab Orthodontic Conference, held in the Jordanian Capital Amman, Headed by the Jordanian Orthodontic Society with international and Arab presence of specialists and academics in this field.

The University participation was distinguished through presenting two lectures and eight scientific posters. The conference included scientific competition to select best three scientific posters, jury included specialists from Britain, Italy, Spain, Japan and India.

The first prize was for the Arab American University poster titled Multidisciplinary Approach for Missing lateral incisors by Dr. Shireen Mhaniah, Dr. Imad Abdul Khaliq, Dr. Nizar Wattad and Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mowais. The University also won the second place to Treatment to Achieve Optimal Dentofacial Esthetics poster by Dr. Mohammed Alian, Dr. Nizar Watad, Dr. Imad Abdul Khaliq and Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mowais.

Monastir University in Tunis won the third prize. Participants and organizers expressed their admiration for the scientific level the Arab American University reached in orthodontics field.
