The accounting department at the Arab American University Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences held a scientific lecture on Value-Added Tax “VAT”, presented by specialists from the Ministry of Finance in presence of a group of students and professors of the department.

The seminar was presented by Mr. Moayad Al-Bustami Director of Value-Added Tax Department – Nablus Branch and departmental directors Mr. Omar Za'al, Prof. Areej Al-Assi and Mr. Mohammad Kabha.

Prof. Dr. Aysar Sussan Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences welcomed the Ministry of Finance delegation, stressing the importance of cooperation in holding such seminars to serve students and provide them with the newest mechanisms to work in the Palestinian market.

During the seminar Mr. Al-Bustami addressed the importance of tax awareness in reducing tax evasion regarding the value added tax. He also discussed a number of fundamental issues about this, where he held discussions with students and guests and asked many questions and queries.
