The Arab American University is seeking to hire a Communication Officer in the "Communication and Public Relations Department" on a temporary contract at the University campus in Ramallah.
AAUP is looking to hire professional competencies characterized by diligence, loyalty, commitment to instructions and regulations, and the ability to provide media content that enhances its image as well as increases its media presence in a professional and influential manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing written and illustrated news and press reports
- Supervising media materials: coordinating, preparing and printing media bulletins and brochures.
- Photographing and documenting all AAUP activities and events.
- Coordinating with the media to cover the University's activities and events and ensure their spread.
- Preparing and updating a comprehensive media database.
- Preparing periodic reports on media activities and campaigns.
Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree in one of the following specializations: Arabic language and media, communication and public relations, journalism, digital media, or design.
- The applicant must have a minimum of one year of practical experience.
- Professional photography skills.
- Skills in using appropriate editing programs.
- Proficiency in using modern programs and tools used in media content production.
- Skills in designing media materials such as brochures and pamphlets.
