The Arab American University is seeking to hire a faculty member to work in the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences / Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders Specialization, starting from the Fall Semester 2024-2025.
The faculty member is expected to be able to teach, deliver lectures and interactive lessons, as well as use virtual reality devices. The faculty member is also expected to be committed to conveying the necessary knowledge and skills to students, be highly professional and committed to professional ethics, and to be a positive role model for students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching and delivering face-to-face and online lectures.
- Supervising practical and clinical training for students and providing the necessary guidance and support.
- Guiding students in virtual reality labs and various practical labs.
- Conducting exams and assessments for students.
- Conducting research and studies and participating in scientific seminars.
- Supervising students' research, reports and scientific activities and guiding them scientifically and ethically.
- Providing health care to patients.
- Adhering to deadlines.
- Participating in curriculum evaluation and development.
- Providing guidance and advice to students.
- Commitment to office hours.
Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:
- The applicant must have a Ph.D. or Master's degree in speech, language and hearing disorders from a recognized university.
- The applicant must have a very good standing or higher in the bachelor's degree.
- It is preferable to have experience in teaching and academic work for a period of not less than two years after obtaining the Ph.D. or the Master's degree.
- The applicant should have practical experience in the field of speech, language and hearing disorders and their treatment for not less than two years.
- Full-time dedication to the University work.
- The applicant should preferably be interested in scientific research.
