The Arab American University is seeking to hire "Faculty Members" on a part-time contract to work in the Faculty of Modern Sciences / University Campus in Ramallah, starting from the fall semester of the academic year 2024/2025.

The faculty member is expected to be able to teach and deliver lectures as well as interactive lessons. The faculty member is also expected to be committed to conveying the necessary knowledge and skills to students, to be highly professional, committed and to be a positive role model for students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop a study plan for the assigned courses, teach and give face-to-face lectures.
2. Adhere to deadlines.
3. Participate in evaluating and developing curricula.
4. Conduct exams and assessments for students.
5. Supervise students' projects, reports and practical activities and guide them scientifically and ethically.
6. Teaching courses related to product design, specializing in furniture design
7. Commitment to office hours

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:

1. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. or Master's degree in industrial product with a focus on furniture design from an accredited university.
2. It is preferable that the applicant has practical experience in the field of industrial product design for a period of not less than two years
3. It is preferable that the applicant has experience in teaching and academic work for a period of not less than two years after obtaining the Ph.D. or Master's degree.
4. It is preferable that the applicant masters design programs specializing in product design with a focus on furniture design.
