About Program

Overview

The Ph.D. program in Educational Psychology focuses on human learning, development, and motivation.

It is a scientific specialization that applies psychological theories and research findings to human behavior, affect, perception, development, and personality to educational settings. It plays a role in bringing together theory and research in psychology and other related disciplines in order to facilitate healthy human development and effective teaching and learning.

The program, within this framework, provides the opportunity to develop critical and reflective skills for related theories and topics by providing a detailed knowledge of educational psychology, its main theories, as well as the findings that support or challenge those theories. This is in addition to providing the ability to conduct research within different models and apply its findings in creative ways and adopt a change approach to the issues and concerns of children, parents, caregivers, teachers and other professionals who contribute to the development and care of children, as well as organizations and community institutions that employ specialists in educational psychology.
