Admission instructions

Any student who has completed his diploma studies from a college recognized by the Ministry may apply to one of the corresponding bachelor’s programs offered by the university for the purpose of bridging, provided that he meets the following conditions:

First: All majors except engineering and pharmacy

  1. The bachelor’s program must be affiliated with and in the same field as the diploma’s specialization
  2. Completion of intermediate diploma studies with a cumulative grade point average of at least 60%.
  3. Passing the comprehensive exam with a grade of at least 60%.
  4. At the university, the student is given remedial courses related to the specialization according to what the university deems appropriate, provided that he achieves a grade of at least 70% in these courses.

Second: Engineering and pharmacy specializations

  1. The bachelor’s program must be affiliated with and in the same field as the diploma’s specialization
  2. Completion of intermediate diploma studies with a cumulative grade point average of at least 75%.
  3. Passing the comprehensive exam with a score of at least 75%.
  4. At the university, the student is given remedial courses related to the specialization according to what the university deems appropriate, provided that he achieves a grade of at least 75% in these courses.

Bridging all equivalent majors at the university except for medicine and dentistry. Credit hours for bridging students are calculated within the principles applicable at the university and in accordance with the study plan for the required major.

Note: Bridged students have financial consequences for the calculated academic hours. The financial consequences are calculated after the course equivalency is approved by the relevant committee and entered into the student’s plan. It is considered part of the student’s first semester fees and he is obligated to pay the full financial consequences upon joining the university. Bridge students can review the Finance Department to find out the details of calculating study hours before joining the university.
