Dr. Walid Basha from the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences recently represented the Arab American University in the Regional Forum on Local Water Governance, which took place in Amman, Jordan on June 6 -7, 2007. The forum which held under the theme “Water is everybody’s business” was called for by EMPOWERS partnership under the patronage of His Royal Majesty King Abdullah II. Furthermore, it was held in the presence of governmental representatives of Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria and Sudia Arabia. Beside many others from the EU and USA. The scientific meeting was fruitful within principal objective to promote a policy environment that is conducive to participatory stakeholder based approaches to planning and implementing water sector activities.
