Part of conducting interviews with students for training and employment

The Hassib Sabbagh Center for IT Excellence at AAUJ organized a workshop entitled “The Palestinian Labor Market Challenges” in cooperation with Transcend, in presence of Hassib Sabbagh Center Director Alaa Hattab, Director of Transcend Company Engineer Thaer Al-Aiaseh, and Human Resources Manager Shadi Hamadneh.

Director of Hassib Sabbagh Center Alaa Hattab started it with a welcoming speech. Stressing on its importance to inform students about the essential skills they must possess during applying for work in Palestinian market. He praised Transcend role in developing job opportunities for students and graduates. Also mentioned that the signed MoU means the two parties will train 24 students, selected according to agreed criteria.

Arab American University hosted an awareness lecture titled “Electronic Crimes Types and How to Handle Them”, organized by Al-Hadath Palestinian Newspaper. It aims to present the mechanisms students can use with the different electronic crimes types.

The seminar was attended by Dean of Faculty of Arts at the Arab American University Dr. Marwan Abu Al-Rub, Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Loay Irziqat, Eng. Mohammad Masoud of the Police Electronic Crimes Unit, Head of Training Department at Al-Istiqlal University Dr. Yasser Abdullah, the Arab American University lecturer at Arabic Language and Media Department Dr. Mahmoud Khallouf, university social counselor Ms. Laila Herzallah, representatives of Jenin and Tubas police departments, and a number of the teaching and administrative bodies members.

Arab American University hosted the Independence Championship for 5-a-side football in which Jenin governorate institutions participated. It’s organized by Sports Federation for All under the auspices of the Higher Council for Youth and Sports, Fateh in Jenin Region, and Jenin’s Sports Committee.

This championship is part of the central championship for institutions held in all the West Bank governorates, coinciding with the commemoration of independence.

Eight teams participated in the championship representing national institutions in Jenin. They were divided into two groups, consisting of 4 teams, each group first and second teams qualify for semi-finals.
