The Management Information Systems Department at the Faculty of Business has held an online workshop for students enrolled in the Legal Issues in Management Information Systems course.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Ihab Al-Nasra, Information and Systems Quality Assurance Officer in the Information Security and Quality Assurance Unit at the University. He addressed some important issues for students, including social engineering and how it works, the most important social engineering techniques, the main elements of social engineering and its types, fraud and its types, how to detect it, how to protect oneself from social engineering and fraud, how to protect a Facebook account from hackers, how to hack and WhatsApp account, and protect WhatsApp from hacking adding a set of tips that include the most important general protection practices and protecting personal devices and phones.
The meeting included a discussion with the students about the issues raised and some of students’ questions regarding the issues with the presence of the course teacher, Mr. Fadi Souqieh.
