Renad Atwan, a student in the Bachelor’s Program in Optometry at the Arab American University, has participated in the fourth annual Conference of the “Academic Network for Development Dialogue,” which was held at the Faculty of Public Policy at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in the Qatari capital, Doha.
This year's conference was titled: “Reviewing the Sustainable Development Goals: Ethics, Policy, and Culture,” and aimed to promote a rich dialogue on the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the dimensions related to ethics, policy, and culture in particular.
Atwan, who is a member of the University's Scientific Research Club, has participated in discussing the research presented during the conference on topics in sustainable development. Atwan, a third-year student in the optometry program, pointed out the positive impact of her participation in the activities and discussions that took place during the conference, as she gained new insights into trends and developments in the field of sustainable development and scientific research. "The events contributed to building a new network of knowledge through communication with leading experts in the field of development, as well as in the medical field", she added.
This conference serves as a platform to review and discuss pioneering studies and research conducted by students in various parts of the Middle East and North Africa.
