Researcher Ibaa Abd Al Raziq Mustafa Daasan has defended his dissertation in the Ph.D. program in nursing titled “A Fused Multi-Channel Prediction Model of Pressure Injury for Adult Hospitalized Patients Using Machine Learning Experimental Design”.
This dissertation aimed to build a multi-channel prediction model for clinical ulcer infections in adult patients in hospitals using machine learning and artificial intelligence technology. The study included 45,990 samples, and the sample data included more than one million nine hundred thousand entries. It is the first study of its kind in the Middle East. The study succeeded in producing a scientific and practical model that can be used, which contributes to improving the quality of nursing services and patient safety.
The dissertation was supervised by Dr. Amani Owda and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Asia. The committee of examiners included Professor Mohammad Al-Qadiri, Dr. Mohammad Al-Bashtawi, and Dr. Imad Fashafsheh.
